Argentine star Lionel Messi continued his brilliance with his new team, Inter Miami, where he scored a goal and led his team to a 2-0 victory over the New York Red Bulls in a match held on Saturday evening. With this victory, Inter Miami made a strong return to the NBA, especially after a series of draws and losses that the team experienced recently.

Messi did not participate since the beginning of the match, but he played as a substitute in the 60th minute to contribute to the team's valuable victory through the second goal, which he scored in the 89th minute, after his teammate Diego Gomez opened the scoring in the 37th minute.

With this, Messi scored his first goal with Inter Miami in the American League, after he scored ten goals for the team in seven matches that contributed to the team winning the League Cup title earlier this month, a few weeks after Messi joined Inter Miami.

With this victory, Inter Miami got rid of the last fifteenth place in the East group, and advanced one step to fourteenth place, raising its score to 21 points, two points ahead of Toronto, and the New York Red Bulls’ score froze at 29 points in eleventh place.

After the successive matches in the recent period with the participation of Inter Miami in the League Cup, in which they won the first title in the history of their participation in the tournaments, and their arrival, led by Messi, to the final of the US Open Cup, Argentine coach Gerardo (Tata) Martino preferred not to have Messi participate from the beginning of the match.

Martino rested five players on the team at the beginning of the match, namely Messi, Sergio Busquets, Joseph Martinez, DeAndre Yedlin, and Benjamin Crimachi, and replaced them with five players, each of whom is under 22 years old.

But he then used the five players during the match, and Messi played after resting for 60 minutes, and scored the team's second goal to lead Inter Miami to regain its victories in the American League.

Inter Miami's last victory in the American League was against the New England Revolution in mid-May.
